to realize how great things once were,
From here today, to when i was only two
I have taken for granted the things I adore

It makes me sad to see friends leaving
What have I got now? Whats to do?
The road that I pursue seems to be weaving
My friends are determined and im stuck in glue

But most of all I miss my mom
Her smile, her charism and her love for me
She's only growing older, with wrinkles on her palms
She deserves the best but its hard for her to see

We use to set up a blanket outside
and have a little picnic under our tree
I was just a kid, but I felt so alive
I think she could see it in me

If only I would have known when i was younger
How great you really were, my tears would fall no longer

Hmmm..I found myself relating to this immensly...I tend to sadden myself thinking about the past, knowing I won't be able to go back. And like you,it seems as though all my friends are going at a faster pace than I and I'm just there slowly making my way.Know you're not the only one,I share your thoughts as well. Thanks for sharing this with us,
PumpkinPie
