I BET IF I THOUGHT REAL HARD
I PROBABLY COULD RECALL A FEW OF MINE
AND REMEMBER THE CONDITION I WAS IN AT THE TIME

HOW ABOUT ONE OF THE TIMES
WHEN I FELT ALL ALONE, MY HEART SINGING A SAD SONG
BUT THE DAY AFTER IS WHEN I REALIZED
WITH GOD IN A PERSONS LIFE
YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG

OR MAYBE IT WAS WHEN I WAS
GOING THROUGH ONE OF MY MANY TRIALS
THE DAY AFTER, LOOKING BACK AND THANKING HIM
FOR CARRYING ME THOSE LAST FEW MILES

ALWAYS LOOK BACK
AT WHERE YOU’VE BEEN
AND YOU’LL APPRECIATE
WHERE YOU’RE ARE IN LIFE

AND THINK WHERE WOULD
YOU LIKE TO GO WITH JESUS TODAY
BE CAREFUL NOT TO ENDURE
ANY STRIFE

WHEN ITS ALL SAID AND DONE
I PRAY, YOU CAN HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH
BECAUSE THE DAY AFTER MIGHT BE CLOSER
