[hometext] => Re-post. Written early last year (2001) for a man very special to me as a way of thanking him for showing me that not everyone is out there to hurt you.
[bodytext] => Once I was lost,
I had no direction. Love for me, was just another word for deception. After all, what does it mean? A way of hurting people unexpectedly? A trap laid out with food inside So luscious, so tempting yet filled with razors, nails and knives that cut you, maim you and make you bleed. Is it really worth it? I asked myself After all, isn't the world filled with hatred, pain and greed? And I would sooner starve than bleed. Then, my love you came to me, With your platter filled with food for me, With a fire so warm, so welcoming that I considered your beckoning. I paced back and fore, Is this a trap? Is this a lure? But you my love, were so patient and waited until I was ready. Now, I finally come to thee, starved of love, so hungry. I ate the food upon the plate and sat beside the fire you create. Your warmth enthralls me, embraces me and once again, I feel safe. The world is no longer such a lonely place just the world we, ourselves create. Now I live, now I breathe Breathe the fire I now perceive to be the strength behind our love the passion, the warmth that we embrace. Our souls unite as we succeed to create our own world without hatred, pain or greed. For now I am so relieved, that I was tempted to come to thee. And my love, I have to thank thee, for I may never have seen This world of love you brought to me.
