With your hurt filled words you attack
I'm still trying to remove your knife from my back
You pull the rope tighter, removing the slack
Pulling tighter, can you hear my heart crack?

You placed me here for all to see
me drowning in this pool of misery
while sitting here all by myself
dreaming I was someone else.

I am lost, not wanting to find
a life of timeless living, I am alive
inside I see jet lagged skies colored red
justification or mental insanity in my head?

I have nothing left to lose
while I have everything left to prove
My life ended, waiting for it to begin
Angels have me dancing with the devil again.

I thought myself to be a dream chaser
I met you, you the dream eraser
Tighten the rope a little more, remove the slack
Why cant you just give me my life back?
