There are temptations and evils in this life
But also love and good deeds.
Yet there always seems to be more strife
Than an answer to your needs.
There are many different entities that have names
Sins and parts of one's lifespan.
Some make your life enjoyable and some play mind games
Or so they do what they can.
Among these things are Life and Death
The most well known of them all.
One the source of existance and one of unrest
One brings you up, one makes you fall.
The next is Evil and for that there is Good
Those who will battle until Forever should come.
Whether one would win or if one could
Could stay hidden a long time for some.
Love and Hate are also well known
Each doing their assigned task.
From them more have branched and grown
Those who are real and those who put on a mask.
The sins are many and few are small
From Apathy to Envy to plain Iniquity.
All parts of life forever no matter what they're called
It's why the one that stands behind them is called Eternity.

This is one of the deepest works i've read in a while. I loved the title, and the rhyme shceme gave it a nice feel. The depth and overall maturity of the theme was quite satisfying, as well. This is definitely among your best.

beautiful write. The title really caught my eye and i couldnt keep it off the screen until the very last stanza.
