worn out like an old sweater
shot full of wholes, unraveling
one good sleeve won't suffice
reckless sport and folly
caked in mud she stands forlorn
thinking did not save her
nor keep her in his good graces
loose threads find their way free
cold spring reveals its purpose
renew and start again
the counting continues
even though he is so tired now
he doesn't know how to stop
anger fuels his intention
but there is no fire left
burned down to ash
nothing will ignite again
for everything is lost

Dear Mer, I always find your poetry splendid, and that not all....all the words that accompany that.......elegance, grace, and beauty of the human existence.
How you can do this without having experienced it, is beyond my comprehension. it is simply splendid once again.
love;
consue
P.S. must be that chair you sit in?

this poem is amazing, i think reading you has helped keep me sane, i can sit back and gain a perspective about life and love that may have gone over my head without the down to earth style and expression you share so freely in such creative style, hugs n' love nessa
