Sweetness of her voice excels chants of parrot
Blackness of her hair excels darkness of night
Bows to Kalika, whose luster excels blue skies
Served by goddess of learning and all energies
Served by Dawn and Flame she excels Angels
Her face excels full moon and full blown lotus
Cupid takes his rebirth in her graceful glances
But she destroys demon of lust and ignorance
Her movements excel the flashes of lightening
As she excels Lord Siva in their lovely dancing
She is an ocean of compassion to her devotees
Vowed to save sages and men of righteousness
Sun and Moon drink milk from her lofty breasts
At her feet Jupiter and Vishnu bow their heads
She rides on a lion of eternal law to rule worlds
To her the Queen of cosmos art my salutations!

dearest venkat, i am sorry someone upset you so, i know of no one who hates your poetry or anyone elses, if that be true then where is the compassion in that poet/poetess' heart? are they truely a poet? you continue to write from your heart like you always do, that is one quality i respect in your poetry, along with your consistency, and flow, being honest here; sometimes we do all need to change how we write for a while and try new things out, then when we come back to that style we feel we are best at it has improved, i will say not which way you will write, but i do know it will be well done and from your heart, write on my friend, big hugs n' love nessa

Your poetry is darn good. Whoever told you anything otherwise has no taste for imagery, metaphors, and glorification. I truly admire the pictures you paint in those neat, tidy lines, and you yourself said you were published--who are they to tell you anything otherwise?

If you're passing through a change of topic or style, well go for it, but if you intend on stopping altogether, don't. Ladyfawn was right--poetry is not a art to be scrutinized, but an emotion to be savored. And yours are quite delectably so.

My dearest Venkat,Don't you dare stop writing about beauty!!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I behold beauty in all your work! You have an individual nature as all humans do, and I admire your skill in writing. "Hate" is such a "dark" form of criticism and if ANYONE hates your work, then why read it? I will continue in reading all your beautiful words, as all your FANS here will!!! We great poets/poetess' appreciate fine skill, and we know it when we see it! So keep writing on beauty for it is your soul that speaketh to us!!!
~angel~ always...godspeed my dear friend~Joni

Oh Venkat in a world so filled with hate, and so little love left, you must realize....there are those that want to hurt....because they themselves are hurting miserably! Your heart is always beautiful, and kind, and if they can't see that.....it will be fine with us....for we can, and we love it.....forgot what those who hate have to say....they will go on hating for the rest of their days!
Beautiful Venkat.......don't listen to them....they just want to hurt you because you are beautiful!
your loving friend

Is it because of the relative anonymity of the web that people can be so rude and mean?

When one has spewed out such venom wouldn't it leave one just feeling soiled and lowly?

And if not wouldn't that be a cause for deep concern for them.

Please do not let such vitriol stop you from writing of beauty. This world lacks so much and it is our duty to add beauty to this world. You, my esteemed friend, do add beauty to my life when you write and as you can see from the previous postings to many other lives as well.

May the universe shine on you,
Rita

Peace to You
