As I looked at you the other day
I realized how much in every way
That I love you
Your smile your laugh the way you are
Absolutely everything about you
It is although I fall in a trance
It is hard to describe for you see
I cant say love without meaning it
For love is not a word but a feeling
A feeling that cannot be described but that you know is there
Even without knowing it
You can feel that I care
Your not sure what is it but you know its there
And I feel for you so much that I cannot live without you
But I feel so much that I cannot be with you
Because the friendship that we have means such a lot
That I would die before letting it rot
and I know that no matter how hard we tried
after that wed never have what we have now
So it is with great sadness that I say
I cannot love you
So now I must say that no matter what
you have my undying love now and for eternity
So it is to be that we stay apart
And my love for you be kept secret away in my heart

Awh this poem is so sad. It sounds like your feelings are trapped and there is not much you can do about them. Its very gripping, one feels your pain! I thought it was a great write & I enjoyed it very much. Its good to see you have reached a realisation and although your feelings will remain in your own way you have put it to rest.........of course thats if the poem was indeed writen in relation to ones self. Anyway thanks for sharing, I noticed you have a poem also named scars as do I, which you might find interesting to read.
