Array ( [sid] => 35388 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A dying world [time] => 2004-02-18 01:59:55 [hometext] => I wrote this poem to describe how the human race is destroying the world but can still save it and all it’s beauty…. [bodytext] => Look at the modern age in time
A world full of violence hate and crime
Very few people have kindness left in their heart
And natural beauty is falling apart

True love exists on but only a thread
And animal species are just dropping dead
What is the cause of this you might ask
Well it’s because of us and our actions
that this world is down
we have destroyed and ruined our beautiful land
and now we seek to travel away to another place
so we can do as we do here and today

Well we don’t deserve it after the way we have been
After all now great things are unseen
And what right do we have to destroy a new world
We should save what we have not leave it to rot

Many years ago before my time
Our people were happy and caring and kind
But alas that day is not now we could bring it back
But no one can even remember how

There are people I know that still are nice and real kind
But a still that’s not good enough because very can
It’s just they all think it’s easier and so don’t even try

I used to walk down to a nearby park
but they smashed it down and up came a car park
If we want to survive we have to all pitch in
To help those in need and to help those who are down
To walk around smiling and not shown a frown

The kindness in people is still in their hearts
It just need some care show it can show it
This world is not lost it is still here
And I will not rest until you all can hear
The sound of birds and trees in the wind
For we all have a calling in life
And mine is to save us and help us unite

BRAVO!BRAVO!BRAVO! This poem was magnificent, I must say....i throw roses at your feet this very day!
Powerful, and truthful til the end.....I hope everyone listens again and again.
Our creator is not going to stand still and let us ruin man's home......he will soon interevene before he leaves us alone.
This was a great write....you are a very intelligent, and thinking person.
thank you for sharing with us......with you I agree wholeheartedly
