Ive been to so many places All the blurred faces Haunting my every thought Ive walked at all my own paces While the real world erases The memory that I fought
And its a mad, mad world For some young girl Like me Who doesnt know where to go And its a sad, sad world For even a strong girl Like me Who doesnt know who shes to be
Ive walked along so many highways Lost count after three days Of all the times I knew And that thought, always replays To the scene of pain that lays Across and over you
And its a mad, mad world For some young girl Like me Who doesnt know where to go And its a sad, sad world For even a strong girl Like me Who doesnt know who shes to be
To me, its quite funny To the world, its pretty sad The dreams in which Im flying Are the best Ive ever had I find it hard to tell you But it isnt hard to take When I see them walking in circles I think its a mad, mad world
Child waiting for the best day Not her birthday, not that it could She wants the day that makes her feel Like every child should I sit and listen, every day Go to school, pretend to smile They dont know me; no one knew me Good morning, teacher Please see right through me Please dont see me Please dont see me
And its a mad, mad world For some young girl Like me Who doesnt know where to go And its a sad, sad world For even a strong girl Like me Who doesnt know who shes to be
To me, its quite funny To the world, its pretty sad The dreams in which Im flying Are the best Ive ever had I find it hard to tell you But it isnt hard to take When I see them walking in circles I think its a mad, mad world
