oh, turn it loose and set it free
one heart with no wishes nor plea,
let this poor heart go out to sea
no love for it, no cup of tea,

it loved before and may again
who knows how, or why, or when,
causing only misery and pain
as love for it seems all in vain,

it gave its all, this heart right here
said i love you, called him dear,
now it's cut in little ribbon slices
left alone to its own devices,

shattered heart once loved most
found by love; now loves no host,
he did not care, it thought he did
alas, it was only meant to be led,

why love for this heart's no fairytale
it foolishly thought love true and real,
yet was passed by; one lonely heart
its love that's torn its owner apart,

heart was lost, thrown out was the key
love apple rotted, the dove flew away,
one castaway heart on a loveless sea
died in memory of what love might be,

§* oh, let this heart go out to sea. *§

Wow, sad but you can certainly write a great poem.......Hey the loose is his. some jus can't deal with real luv. They'll go to the ends of the Earth for what they want but when it gets down to the nitty gritty, well friend, don't get me started as most of my friends are male or teenagers and the younger generation. Not all men are a like jus as all women aren't the same so I'm not knocking men in gerneral.
Anyway, hang tuff, my friend.
Very good writing!
luv, huggs,
emy

Love is not all it is cracked up to be...when the "honeymoon" phase is over...so seems true love! I can relate to this as I am sure many can!

{{{nessa}}}} a broken heart is a terrible thing - yet I feel your star has not yet come to shine, so don't lose hope and give up on something as sweet as love. Hope burns eternal where the heart is concerned.

A very sad write my dear friend, you have such a beautiful command of words, even the saddest ones.

hugs

Wow! I was swept up in that ending. One of your masterpieces for sure. The picture, the flow, and your word choice all had me feeling like I was being thrashed around in the ocean.

Well done!
