The sun comes up, the sun goes down,
Forget these reality chains that keep us Earthbound,
Write from your heart, that's what I always say,
Be grateful for what you have, cause you may not see another day,

Roses bloom, I sit silently in my room,
Tears in my eyes, contemplating suicide,
Is life worth living, has my life been fulfilling,
So many questions, not enough answers,
Fighting off depression as if it's cancer,

I swallow my pride, drop to my knees and ask the Lord why,
Why do I wish for death, but then I beg for another breath,
Why don't I have the guts to cut my wrist, why do I fight so hard to resist,
Why do I feel like this inside, so confused it's like I'm blind,

" That's the answer in which you seek, inside your soul the demon sleeps,"
Is that you Lord I ask, you've answered me at last,
" That is where you are wrong I never left, I've been with you step by step,
You refused my love, thus turning your back on me my son,"

That's not true, I've always relied on you,
" Only when you needed me most, I was second every other time you raised that glass for another toast,"
But I was ok then, I had no worries,
" That's because I protected you from the serpent hidden inside your buddies,"

Oh you protected me, how about the time I wrecked my car,
" Lessons must be learned, I allowed you to escape that wreck with only a broken arm,"
I guess you have been with me every step of the way, how could I ever repay,
" All I ask is that you open your heart, let me inside allow me in your life, let me be a part."

Forever Faithful
The Phantom
