Array ( [sid] => 35082 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Poem: Untitled [time] => 2004-02-15 13:24:07 [hometext] => I wrote this poem when I really wasn't sure which route my life was taking. I was really depressed and that come's across, as you will see, in this poem.... Hope u enjoy it, as it is my 1st submission! [bodytext] => Troubled minds, broken lies,
Problems only truth can bind.
Life is over, though I still survive.
Put me through this pain and strife.

Deep dark inhibitions, wounds open wide,
Hung out in the open and left to dry.
Easy to manipulate, so easy to divide,
Separate the friendly from the other half that’s shy.

So many questions, not many answered.
Am I who I am? Or am I plastered?
Am I someone you like or just the next bastard?
The questions I have – I want them answered.

Out in the cold, out in the rain,
It once seemed worth it, but now it’s a game.
It all seemed so worth it, now I feel shame,
Somebody please tell me...
Am I the one to blame?

Wise decisions with foolish rewards,
You’re having fun, but still you’re bored.
The way home is left, though you decide to go right,
Awkward situations caused by loss of temper and might.

Confusion amidst, the beautiful morning air,
One moment you’re smiling, the next you are scared.
The breath of the day upon my scaly skin,
Even though to me it's over, it has yet to begin... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 200 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Robza171 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
