So in honor of that, I thought I would repost it. Hope you all enjoy. MaJ [bodytext] => -------_______------------

Where to start?
When you have a battered and bruised heart,
The child so soft spoken,
Until that faithful day she was twisted and broken.
It was not by the hand of god and the falling of a star,
Not from an unstoppable accident involving a car,
This child broken by a hand,
The one of a drug induced man.

Broken fibula,
Twisted Tibia,
Fractured bones,
Hairline breaks, curdling moans.
Seventeen breaks all in all,
A little girl that was forced to fall.

A child battered and bruised,
Walking free is the one accused,
Her body casted half way up,
Her heart crying it has had enough,
So many bends, bruises, and breaks,
Yet she still smiles with all it takes.

She was broken, bent, twisted, and shamed,
She was in the papers; on the news, the child without a name,
Through all the pain and the misery,
She held her smile bright, for the entire world to see.
This child, so small and tender,
All it took was her fathers love to mend her.

Not even a year in this world,
What a tragedy we seen from this little girl,
No crime did she do, No pain did she inflict,
In one single moment, her world twisted by a drug induced addict.
Can we learn something from all of this? I think we can,
That the love of a child, can overcome adversity better than any man.

For this little girl walks tall and proud,
She runs and plays, jumping up and down,
Not allowing the unthinkable hate of one man,
Stop her from going on with her life plan,
Four years of age she is today,
Close your eyes, notice her laugh as she plays,
We all can take refuge in her love,
We know she was being watched from above,
Her heart has somewhat forgot,
I smile when I see her, and cry when I think of what I almost lost!

This man that caused her all this pain,
Well one day I will see him again,
What would I do, will I go that extra mile?
I can only close my eyes on that day, and think of my daughters smile,
I will look in his eyes; I will have nothing to say,
He will notice my pain and hate, as I turn and walk away.

One little girl,
One little world,
One too many twisted and shattered bones,
One too many painful tears and groans,
One little girl,
One little smile that lights up my world!
