Drifting into lovers
The warmth that we shared
Felt like blankets and covers

A foot in a slipper
A hand in a glove
We formed to each other
And fell into love

The peace that we shared
Made the world go away
We’d merge with each other
And the days slipped away

But the past and the present
Don’t always make sense
The deeds and the feelings
Conflict so intense

Our worlds suddenly shattered
When the past became clear
Our love is still present
I still want you near

I go over and over
What my best friend had done
The pain that it caused us
Makes our future seem glum

What happened to us dear?
What will be our future?
My trust four you vanished
And both roads are torture.

An incredible expression of your emotions. You have made your confusion and anguish abundantly clear. A friend once told me that things have a way of working themselves out. They do and this will work out. You may not know how, but you know they will.

Don't be such a wise guy ToriVeigh. This was written for you. It's not fair using my quote against me. You make me smile sweetie.

I hear ya. I know the feeling, been there, done that.
Not being judgemental but once the trust is broken it nothing short of a miracle can bring it back but I beleive in miracles.
Very good writing. and both roads are torture....says it all.
luv, huggs,
emy
