What God's will may hold for me.
If I be fodder for the fire of hell,
Even so, He doeth all things well.
I feel as a worm more than a man,
And am but putty in his hand.
I, of myself, cannot improve,
That being scripture's stated rule,
Without the Spirit of God in me,
The grace of Jesus Christ to see:
Yet, I can adore his majesty,
Whatever my fate should come to be.
Because, He is worthy to be praised,
For all the wonder of His ways.
Presence, power and wisdom His,
Creater of all that ever is.
Why should He not get glory in,
The punishment of my wicked sin:
If I am not by His own hand,
Made a member of His clan?
From my youth I've gone astray,
So use me Lord, I am your clay.
I'm only dust, thats what I am,
A proper thing for you to damn.
I have no claim upon your throne,
Unless your righteousness, I may own.
You are just, I know for sure,
Your wonderful works and motives pure.
You know what is best to do,
And I agree in what you choose.
Should you desire glory in my death,
Then, destroy me fully in thy wrath.
For your glory Christ, we all exist,
And your soveriegn will we can't resist.
So slay me Lord, if it's your will,
With my last breath I'll praise you still.
This breath of life to me you gave,
And of sin I've been a willing slave:
But, Lord, dear Lord oh' could it be-
Could you have mercy reserved for me?
The debt I owe is surely due,
Upon my head, or then upon you.
I pray for mercy, to avoid thy wrath,
You've set my bounds, decide my path.
I trust you Lord, to put an end,
To this old sinner and his sin.
The choice rightly belongs to you,
In earth, in hell and heaven too.

From the heart..and so beautifully written..by a man very proud of his faith

Although I personally do not believe our loving creator would burn us in hell for eternity...a sore point with me lol...I prefer to think evil people just die..for ever

Thankyou for sharing Lionel I will read more of you
