When lightning strikes again
maybe now or maybe never
it's bound to make your heart sing
and it's gonna be forever
any moment now
Lightning's about to strike
know I must be going
my destiny is calling
I hear thunder at a distance
I can't be stopping now
no apologizing
no compromising
I feel the thunder rumbling
feel it in my head
shaking right down to my feet
there's just no stopping now
I'm about to rock 'n' roll
the whole night through
til it strikes again
just a'rocking the night away
til lightning strikes again
Oh no I've lost all control
Here I go again
there's a silver light flashing
As my world is turning to gold
In my head a voice is screaming
and I'm being told
YES....you silly fool
lightning so very often
is said to strike
twice the very same place
(If you will only listen, you will hear it too)
but he's not listening
he tells himself over and over again
"It may be here soon, but highly unlikely"
"there are some who never find it'
"maybe some, but I'm not one"
the sky cries a torrent of raindrops
and at last lightning strikes him
He's mesmerized
Oh, lucky me!
It's all that I longed for
he tries not to think too much
best not to, if truth be told
so all reason escapes him
while love takes it's place
he's mesmerized
this love
it's bound to last forever
lightning has struck again
