THE SUN IS HIDING OUT TODAY
TO KEEP US IN THE DARK THIS MAY
FOR LIFE IS SO MYSTERIOUS
IN IT'S OWN WAY
OF OBSCURING WHAT'S IN OUR PATHY LAY
SO, I TAKE A LIGHT ALONG
AND WHISTLE A NONSENSICAL SONG
OR MAYBE BEAT UPON MY GONG
FOR ALL THAT HAS GONE WRONG
BUT, YOU'LL MAKE ME BETTER THAT'S FOR SURE
FOR IN YOUR HEART WE'LL FIND THE CURE
AS I FALL INTO THE TRAP OF YOUR LURE
AND I HAVE THOUGHTS OF YOU, OH SO IMPURE
SO LEAD ME TO YOUR OPEN DOOR
WHERE MY HEART WILL BE LESS POOR
AND FIND OUT
WHAT'S AT YOUR BEINGS CORE
WHILE I DISCOVER MORE AND MORE!
HE CALLS ME BETH THE "KID"
