Wake me up I'm standing still unlike the rest who can feel So out of reach of your finger's length I want to grab hold but bear no strength
This cloud is above me darkening as I tell you my feelings without motions or sounds All I need is your help though I do not know how to ask Cut the rope by which I'm bound
Speak to me in melody Have you finally arrived to save myself from me? From time its self and years to pass Will you make sure I'm really here at last?
Looking into your eyes I can't help but see that small child trapped inside Screaming incoherently No one ever listens so his words never make sense He looks afraid, yet he's very brave Prepared with any defense
Lean on me I'll lean back together we'll pull through That boy will be freed I will be released The rope burns will fade too
Only time can heal old news though creating new one in it's path Only death can seem so right when life is all you have.

Hi PsychoticDreamz
I love the third and the last stanzas of your poem. Oh do 'speak to me in melody' and do post more poems so that I can 'save myself from me'. Poetry is life. |
