Hollower when you aren't there
Carve my soul out with a scythe
Offer it to you on bended knee
We kill our dreams so that we can't rebuild them
But we can't hide the truth from ourselves
Would you stay?
To tame my stupidity, so obvious
To rid me of these rusted chains
On wings bent and desireless
Weighted with haunting misdeeds
Would you stay?
When I'm with you I feel like dying
When you're not there I'm a ghost
Needing you like a sigh against the night air
No matter how much you hurt me
I will always come back
Come back for more
No matter how many times I fall
I'll find a way back
I'll come back for more of you...
A thousand loveless clouds block the earth
But I still see you there
Coming closer, coming closer
to my downfall... [comments] => 5 [counter] => 195 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Avarice_Riot [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Hey, this is really a great poem!! really.... Sometimes it's funny when you love someone and that someone may destruct your life, yet you still love him and you want to be with him... well that's how I interpret this poem by the way... great job!!

You have put into words that what many people feel. Love is a demanding but yet giving presence. I am getting on in years and still feel the pull on my heartstrings when I look at my precious wife. It will be with me as long as I live this intangible feeling called love. It will I am sure not be your downfall but the beginnings of a new life. Push away those lovless clouds. A downfall seems so unnecessary. I enjoyed this poem very much and give it the highest ranking.

Fear not. "To be emptied, is to be filled again."

i know where you are coming from. its like you realize when you have lost something its true worth. sometimes unfortunately it takes losing something to realize its importance however. but this was wonderful as is all your work.
