Array ( [sid] => 33620 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => PUPPYLOVE [time] => 2004-02-03 00:30:42 [hometext] => A small child is looking for a special puppy to love.......and is giving everyone a bad time, until she finds the right one! [bodytext] =>

'Puppy size' she just repeats it over and over,"
said the mother of the pretty little girl!
"This is the fifth time we have returned
to the shelter in two weeks, what a whirl!
She just keeps saying "puppy size" she told
the woman volunteer!
She has looked at every small dog here,
but not one of them is the right size
it would appear."

Just then the child came back into the office.
"Did you find any that you like dear, any
you could take home, they are all friendless?"
"Could we come back this weekend, Mother?
When I find the right one, then I'll kiss her!"

When the mother got her home, both she and
her father talked seriously to her
about the puppy.
She was told she would have to give up
the "puppy size" or there would be no doggie.
"This is the last time we will take you to the
shelter, so you must decide!"
The little girl agrees with sadness in her eyes
she knows this trip cannot be denied.

As they approached the shelter, the father
again reminded her, "I don't want to
hear "puppy size!"
She promises, with tears in her eyes,
She heads for the small dog cages,
and asks to hold each one close to her heart!
None can she chose, until the very last cage,
and a small one she hugs,
and with it won't part!

"So you finally found one did you sweetie,"
her Mother replies?
"This puppy sighs, it's the right one! she cries!
You taught me when you love, you sigh,
and this little puppy sighed when I held him,
so I know he loves me!
Don't you remember Mommy you told me that
love depends on the sighs of your heart truly!"

The more love the bigger the sighs, and this
puppy sighed a big sigh.
The mother didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Instead she knelt and gave the child
a great big hug.
"I knew this was my puppy, because when I
held him tightly I heard the sighs
of his heart tug."

Close your eyes for a moment and think
of all those you love.
Do you sigh when you are in the arms of your
special love dove?
A sigh in the caress of a sunset, the kiss
of the moonlight, and the fresh breeze
on a hot day?
Remember, life is not measured by the
breathes we take, but by the moments that
take our breath away!

What a wonderful inspirational ditty
--------------------------------------------
It's hard for me to sometimes see
The poets point of view,
The poet speaks of doggies' sighs
But I think of doggies' eyes.

I guess the poet has her way
She did the beginning work,
So I'll leave because you see,
They'll start to call me 'Jerk'.
