When you smiled at me
The world went bright
I loved you so much
It felt so right
It wasn't your fault
This I know
But I just can't believe
This is the end of the road
I try so hard
I cry every night
To say goodbye
Takes all of my might
When I saw you last
You walked out the door
I never thought
You would leave forevermore
I heard the crash
I saw your pain
The ground covered
In a blood stain
I saw your face
And knew it was time
It doesn't seem fair
That you paid for another man's crime
We were so happy
But we can't go back
My life is now
On a different track
It's been years now
My life has moved on
But everything is different
Now that your gone
Your in a better place
Heaven's gates opened wide
And the angels were there
To take you inside
Every once in awhile
For you I still cry
But now at the end
I can say goodbye
