I gaze out of my window to see
A chain of mountains in all their majesty
Crowned with clouds and clothed in snow
Brightly from afar do they glow
Flocks of birds soar up on high
I cannot help but begin to cry
For I shall never be
As beautiful as those mountains that stand proud before me
My body is battered, and my spirit is broken and worn
My heart lies on the floor, shriveled and torn
I no longer live, for I have died
From all those tears I have cried
And all those sleepless nights
Have put in me so many doubts and frights
My body shakes like a leaf
My life is worthless is my belief
Compared to anything of beauty
I am ugly
I am hideous not only on the outside but also within
And this daily strain on my heart I feel, is a battle I cannot win
A vile wretch is all I can see
Of that girl in the mirror staring back at me
And I her and I shall never be
Anything of beauty

| Why such despair? Why? Don't you know, the real beauty is come from the mind and soul, when one gets old and gone one day, where the skin-deep beauty gone? It will vanish with the dust and wind; But as a beautiful person, they will forever stay in our hearts...... And although I've never met you, but I know, a beautiful heart you have......... (plus, you know I think you are lovely, and I always will, do not put youself down!) |
