[bodytext] => I lit a candle, the flame burst into life Hope danced once more in the willowy light Like an excited innocent child Bright and warm, steady and strong Brilliance repainting darkness and doubt Determined this time to make a stand Already time, the enemy of hope Seeking to deny her precious life Crawled silently, deeper into night A flicker, then another Hope quivered, touched by the breeze of uncertainty The tower of white, now faultered, unsure.
