sink into myself
slowly, slowly

pull off my tentacles
--attatched
to the various unlucky people out there
I care about--
seperate the suckers
from the skin
and let my feelers
float around me

losing connections

why bother
making the effort
why bother to care

drifting away . . .

I'm losing it all
it slides from my shaky grasp
it all drifts away from me
I drift away from it all

. . . am I gone yet? [comments] => 6 [counter] => 196 [topic] => 13 [informant] => ShadowDaughter [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

damn, that sounded unsettlingly hopeless. sounds like something that would be said in an irritated sigh. very telling.

Don't wanna lose you. I feel like that every second of every day. Don't think I can comment further....loved the poem

This sounded freaky made me feel like all hope was lost.
And yet the last line (am I alone yet) alot of the time i wish I was alone, but it is never likely to be.
Excellent emotional poem keep it up.

Nice write. It was very dark. I don't think I fully understood it but ah well. Not a big deal. I liked it none the less.

Sad. I hope you are doing better now. I feel like that right now, so I can relate.
