The betrayal of trust
A treason 'gainst love
It darkens the sky
No light from above

Where has love gone?
For it took my heart
What have I done?
For it tears me apart

No longer is the grass so green
No longer sings the dove
My world is turned a dismal gray
Where, oh where is love?

For love to work
There must be two
Who give up themselves
And swear to be true

For the heart that is loving
Must be willing to give
Are you willing to die

The love has gone
Or so they say
That's their excuse
For walking away

A beautiful poem. I'd say it's amazingly accurate for someone that's never gone through it. I hope you never do. Great write.
