The core of conversations
The voice of perceptions
They create a connection
Between what is and what cannot be
And what you can and you cannot see
They create that world of fantasy
Yet make you face rationality
When they ring in your ears
Bring you laughter or tears
You think, you feel
And when you cannot conceal
The storm resting with in you
They become a portal and let it through
Sometimes the truth
Sometimes mere lies
So to free your soul, your heart and mind
To let them fly like a flock of birds
Our helpers and friends whom we call 'words'
