[bodytext] => Goosebumps pepper my skin, As I hear his truck shut off. I know the bad about to come, The smell of smoke and gin. He staggers in through the door, I'm hiding in my room. His angry voice fills the house, It's her he's yelling for. I sneak out, trying to be quite. A glass flies against the wall And a shiek is heard above the crash. Once again he starts his riot. I'm shaking in anger and in fear. He grabs her by the hair, Her glasses fall, he steps on them, He demands she get him a beer. A few minutes later, he's at it again. But this time a gun is waved! He says this is it, I run into the den. He hides his retched tool And we make our excape, But this is not the end. She will return to the bull! So the world is unfair. Some people live in fear. Children know the pain. So what you have let me caution always take good care.
