And thoughts invade our heads
Lay us down for capture
Dreams and rested beds

Closing eyes surround us
Grasping all our dreams
Thinking always of this
And of what it never seems

Float away with music
Chills running constantly
Shiver in the beautiful cold
Clouds of breath are holding me

Drive away now
Rolling the windows down
Let the death of cold enclose us
Frost running across the ground

Tides have turned against me
Losing the heat of day
Your voice has already surrounded me
And I'm awaiting the things it will say

Eyes bleed out the sorrow
The tears float to the air
Freezing as the snow comes down
Lights that are always there

Time stands still for rapture
Oh, the thoughts you invade in my head
Lay me down for your capture
And I lie awake in this bed

Ticking clocks surround me
Time that stops for no one
Losing all my inhibitions
Standing still for someone

Letters hold unwritten
Passing themselves through time
I will hold myself against it
And the pressure felt is mine

Take hold of your examples
Fight those feelings as you should
Faking smiles shatter
Oh, like you ever could [comments] => 2 [counter] => 148 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Exodus-On-Life [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Can't explain why, but I love this. Whatever it was, the poem stole my breath and clouded my mind, because I think I forgot how to breathe when I read it.

Keep writing,
-Eve.

I loved all this, but especially that line this was so unbelievably great. Wow... amazing
