the robins no longer sing
for God hath taken all the beauty from the
earth and placed it in your eyes
and the mountains... ancient though they
may be cannot remember a time when I
did not love you
the yearning... and the longing is to much
every time I dream of you I wake up in a
fever
the burning... the burning of your touch
haunts me like a ghost from a forgotten
yesterday
I ride tonight... I ride tonight to see you
through darkened fields and forest and
past the blackened lakes
I'll die tonight... if I cannot be with you for
sorrow has overtaken me my eyes are
dull and grave
hang your lantern... outside of your door
so that I may see it and come running to
your side
goodbye my love... I'm forever yours
tonight we'll lay together in the glowing
candles warmth
forever yours...........me [comments] => 6 [counter] => 902 [topic] => 2 [informant] => doug [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

My Doug this is just lovingly grand.
How romantic, like Romeo and Juliet!
Very appealing, and heartfelt as you can get!
She's a lucky lady....hold her tight, and never let her go!
