( A CHILD’S PLEA)

HOW COULD YOU HAVE TAKEN MY INNOCENCE AWAY FROM ME,
WHEN I WAS TO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I NOW SEE.
I TRUSTED YOU WITH MY BODY ANS SOUL,
NOW YOU LEFT MY HEART WITH A GAPING HOLE.
WHAT YOU’VE TAKEN FROM ME, CAN NOT BE REPLACED,
HOW COULD YOU HAVE PUT ME IN SUCH A PLACE?
CAN YOU FEEL MY SHAME, CAN YOU SEE MY TEARS?
DO YOU KNOW HOW THIS IS GOING TO EFFECT ME THROUGH THE YEARS?
NOTHING YOU CAN SAY WILL CHANGE MY MIND,
I JUST HOPE I TOLD SOMEONE IN TIME.
TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO SOMEONE ELSE,
WHO LIKE ME WAS SHY, AND SCARED LIKE A MOUSE.
LEAVE US INNOCENT CHILDREN ALONE,
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE SAFE, AT CHURCH, SCHOOL AND HOME.
