[hometext] => Original Inspiration of this poem was that I was planning to write a poem about scrolling eyes toward one another.
[bodytext] => Oh Night Sitting outside in the middle of the field, Laying back on the grass as I observe, "Oh what a wonderful sky," as I point with my finger. My eyes follow the pointer round and round. The clouds seem to be swirling along As I stir the coffee I have just bought from Starbucks. My eyes run with the spoon, Flashing back in elementary film, Yearns Again for times when once I sat upon A "No Fault Saf Dek". Freely left out a loud giggling, As I felt the wind cooling off my sweats. My sweats made me feel good about the hot weather. My back was showered by steaming breeze, As my eyes grasping the colors fleeing with time. My mind was mixed with butterflies. Tonight as I observed the clouds in the sky, My mind is filled with dragonflies, Whose noses are hiding behind water lilies. Lilies love to show off their walk, Tiptoe across the water plain, As lightbugs give glow to the dimmed night. Oh night, how you fill my mind with fantasy, And put my mind into endless sleep. ©Nov 13, 2003 Eliza Simmons [comments] => 1 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 27 [informant] => elizasimmons [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )
