[bodytext] => You stand there with a smile on your face, acting as if nothing is wrong. The black that I see within your heart, in this picture doesn’t seem to belong. Your arm is around her shoulder, and your hand is resting on mine. I remember I felt as if being touched by a demon, remember the fear inside. I remember your harsh words in my trembling ear, saying smile or you’ll get it good, bringing the coldness that washed over my heart as I fearfully understood. I struggled to smile, and somehow I did. It wasn’t good enough, you dragged me by my shirt and took care of me, when it was all over with. How I wished, into nothingness I could disappear. Like a kitten in a thunderstorm, I lived all those years in fear. I’m here sitting, staring, seething, developing dark demons of my own. I thank you for my hate, my insanity, which you so ignorantly bestowed. Invisible to everyone out there, was the black aura of my family, and undetectable to all was our putrid odor of deceit. Looking back at this photograph, like water through a burst dam, my memories race about my mind again. Bringing up this emotion that physically hurts, reminding me of how much I really hate them! I put this picture back in it’s box, thinking it’s black and white in more than one way; For you look at a picture and see a perfect family, concealing the darkness they live in day by day.
