a heart that bleeds, a tear inside,
It's been there for years, I'd say,
sometimes I'd wish, it'd go away,
though much I know, of why it bleeds,
the truth of heartache, I let it be,
the things I see, that tare my heart,
of why a tear will not depart,
The drips of blood, I must let sob,
a bleeding tear, shall do it's job.
sometimes it wakes me, in the night,
I'm not alone, my tear is right,
I often think, my tear that bleeds,
is a gift, to make you see,
the ways of time, with somber eyes,
the reason humans' cry inside,
so much destruction, on this earth,
hearts are shattered, some at birth,
Children cry, to know the way,
other's seem, to walk astray,
love they yearn, to teach them well,
my heart will bleed, as time will tell,
the little things, in life they see,
some colored dark, this shouldn't be,
Tears of love, my heart should bleed,
such destruction, a child see's,
blast of bombs, and gunshot wounds,
a child dies, a life consumed,
a mother bleeds, to change the world,
a bullet took her little girl,
a father tries, to hold back tears,
although he cherished, every year,
the wounds inside, to much to bear,
my heart has bled, another tear,
A land of freedom, once they learned,
a tear of love, it seems to burn,
the heart of many, bleeding tears,
a nation cries, a child's fear,
so many young ones, our future dream,
lie in state, a tragic scene,
time they say, will help us mend,
but here I lost, another friend,
how far forward, could we go,
if not the other's we must show,
candle's lit, below the sun,
the memories stay, we all are one,
a nation cries, to change the ways,
to bring back light, upon our days,
It all must happen from within,
each we see in human skin,
we all are children, young and old,
inside the universe, that seems so cold,
Where the pieces, we put back,
the ones that once, were all intact,
upon our hearts, they left their prints,
a tear I've bled, ever since,
how far today, can we move on,
when a part of our future, now is gone,
Within my heart, a tear, I bleed,
and hold you close, as you grieve!
