I try too hard to be honest
because I know I am a liar
I am guilty of everything I accuse you of
I am ugly; dont believe otherwise!
A falseness transcends me
I pretend, I lie
I dont care
Its all part of my poem, my creation
Every moment, every whisper
a rhyme falling into place
I convince you
but I suspect my truth: artful lies
I claim to love humanity
but can not love these humans
they disgust me
the beauty and baseness I witness bewilders me
I feel trapped in their worlds
they are holding me down
their existence is my prison
so I pretend to love
Oh horrible deception
the poetry I spit out to compensate!
I try so hard to be honest
because I know I lie so well...
