Array ( [sid] => 24388 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Early Riser* [time] => 2003-10-04 19:35:00 [hometext] => I find myself reciting this many a morning. Truly being thankful for each day.......Glo! [bodytext] => First thing early this morning, when I awakened in bed.............
I layed there comtemplating, thoughts going through my head.
My eyes said I see what you're thinking about,
My ears said please don't talk so loud......
It's early yet, no need to scream and shout.

Later on my nose said, "the smell of coffee is what I crave".
My arms said "I'm going to need assistance
to start my usual day."
So hands get to moving, there's coffee to be made.

My upper torso's wide awake ready to do their part..........
We need help from the other half, the lower torso......then we all can start.
My back says "Oh how I ache today,
If I had a choice, in bed is where we'd stay.
But it's not all up to me, we work as a team.
Sorry for complaining.......some days I just want to scream.
The pain somedays are so unbearable, you others know what I mean.

My knees said "believe me lots of days I feel your pain..........
What affects one affects all of us........just go and ask or brain."
I'll go and talk to our legs, to see if it's time to get out of bed........
The last person we have to ask, said my legs are my feet............
I'm more than willing to help you all out, but he has the final say.

Because he'll be the one supporting all of us, helping us on our way.
Each and every one of us has something special we all can do.
The possibilites are endless, let's help our feet put on his shoes.
The smell of coffee, my nose says it the perfect way to start the day.
My thanks to each and every one of you I said.
For helping start me on my way.

Stop and Smell the Coffee!

dear Glo,
I know you had a terrible accident, and so
that's probably why your limbs won't go.
I'm so sorry for all your pain, I've never had an accident, but many operations just the same!
I don't drink coffee, so that wouldn't get me up, but I do have 6 little critters on my dog ranch. If I don't get up, I'll have to clean it up! Doesn't take me much time to jump out of bed! *smiles*
Wonderful thought provoking prayer.
