To see the beauty of the earth
We must first close our eyes
To material things and their petty worth
And open them to Gods blue skies
For if we live in our own world
Blind to others pain and ways
If by the wayside our morals are hurled
As we violate them every day-
Then I wish for God to take me now
Back to the heavens in which my soul was born
Be buried deep with the cool soil on my brow
While above me earthbound souls still mourn
For I wish to have no part
In the world that I see today
A crumbling world-falling apart
As ethics and principles fall away
No, I do not wish to wander
In a world ruled by dollar and gun
I would rather die with honor
Than live in a world that has none
