She, yonder bending low, appears now
Rich in rays , clad in red hues
Advancing with a wonderful pace
Amid the ten sorrounding arms
Like a noble lady, Dawn comes
Tending every thing with warm fingers
Rousing all life, she stirs the creaturess
And makes the birds fly from their nests.
She who has knowledge of first of days
Is born refulgent white out of darkness
Never breaks the law of order or truth
By coming day by day brightens the Earth
Lovely as a bride adorned by her mother,
The queen of cosmos and mother of all,
Here comes Dawn, the maiden of the heaven.
O poets! welcome the Bride with sweet songs
She as if conscious that her limbs are bright
With bathing in the sea of light, stands erect
So that we may see her lovely face with joy
Having driven away the darkness of night
Dawn, the daughter of the sky has come with light
She the daughter of sky, like a virtious women
Bends opposiste to men, her face down wards
Disclosing many boons with graceful looks
Ditributes jewels to all her worshippers
The maiden has brought again the happiness
She like a dancer dons herself with blazing silks
Now bares her bosom as a cow her udder
Creating light for all the world of life
With her glory she makes the earth visible
And reveals the heaven for us to see
Gone are those mortals, who beheld
The beaiming Dawn in former ages
We now behold her brightness and they are
Coming who will see her in after ages
Blessed art thou Dawn! Princess of the heaven!
Shine on us today, shine more widely today
Give us each thought more and more blissful
May thy splendorous bounty lie in us ever fruitful!

Venkat, how beautiful, I could see her coming with all her glory and array.
In my "Mind's Eye!" I could see her walking the earth.
How I pray,
She will stay!
