Array ( [sid] => 23916 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Vandal of The Heart* [time] => 2003-09-27 00:25:00 [hometext] => Just something that came to mind. Although through the years, I could have used a brick or two myself.lol.....In fairness to the gentlemen readers, it could happen to you also.........Glo! [bodytext] => After such a wonderful Spring Day, spending time with him,
Never in my wildest of dreams thinking this is how my day would end.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed........
Or so the saying goes,
Spring is here, love is in the air,
Shows how much I know.

He was every bit the Gentleman right from the very start........
By the end of Spring, I came to know him as a "Vandal of the Heart."
We both said from the very start lets take it nice and slow,
To see in which direction our relationship would go.

For years I had this fortress built around my heart........
A sturdy wall to guard my feelings, or so I thought.
No one could get in or scale the walls,
For only I held the key..................
Later that evening unknowningly to me.........

Somehow he scaled the walls, his intentions from the very start,
I trusted him, all my deepest feelings I did impart.
Not once thinking he would commit "Vandalism of the Heart."
He took the strings and cut them, making his way to the core.
Once inside my heart, he took a brick and shattered it..................
Pieces fell onto the floor.

If seems he took pleasure in commiting such a cruel and senseless act.....................
Leaving nothing to chance, he made certain no pieces were left intact.
Always saying to myself, this would never happen to me,
Being ever so careful, I'll never have someone commit a B&E on me.

Tho the years have passed, and I've patched up my heart,
I've learned not to say never, because you never know.
Life as well as Love is all in taking a chance.

Another Spring another time to be wined, dined, and dance.........
With age comes wisdom, for most we know tis true.
While I'm being wined, and dined....in my purse is a brick or two.
I carry them with me everywhere I go,
He's tugging at my heartstrings..................
Quickly I grab my purse............ready..................set..............throw!

Ladies.....Don't leave home without it!
