Afraid, she was
Of being the black sheep
Of the rivers of tears she would weep
Regret, she felt
for her carelessness
an accident that set her motionless
Apprehension crept
Of being left behind
when everyone swept her aside in a frenzied beeline
Desire, she yearned
to run like the wind once more
but with paralysis her sins were paid for
Uncertainty, she faced
Of a lonely future
Into an unknown territory she dared not venture
Determination and strength prevail
She will walk again
And leave this all behind
