Waves crashing, crashing, crashing against the soft shore
The way they break, the way they turn over so effortlessly
One would think they would break with such a violent rage
After all they’ve had such a long journey

The Cool breeze hits my body and gives me a chill
I get goose bumps but not ordinary goose bumps
The goose bumps you get when you kiss
Not just any ordinary kiss instead the one that makes you melt
The one that tells you
“This is who I want to be a part of me”

The sand, so fine, so small, as if it were a collection of something
All brought together to form a beautiful beach
A beach where one day you will receive that kiss
That sends you beyond the reaches of the galaxy
Yes, the beach: a collection of shattered dreams
Where one day an actual dream may come true

The cliffs, the rocks, so jagged and at the same time so smooth
Just as your journey through life
You will have your jagged times, but over time
The water can come and run over them
Then soon in time they are as smooth as little pebble

How could one imagine such a small cove, something that goes unnoticed
Catches someone’s eye and brings him to his knees
I look down at the sand and I see my dream
I’m sorry I could not share this moment with you
You know I would have done anything for you: I loved you

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
