Array ( [sid] => 23353 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => My Friend [time] => 2003-09-17 08:05:00 [hometext] => This Poem, is dedicated to my Best Friend Veena. It still is a mystery how I could get so close to someone in just 7 months. We do keep fighting, but the silver lining is that after every fight, it r'ship keeps getting better.
Many people have commented on our r'ship, many were envious, and all the while, i turned a blind eye to it all. This is my way to tell you Veeny... how much you mean to me. [bodytext] => Thank you for everything, for making me believe that Angels do exist,(apart from Mom's)

-----------------------------------------------------------
My Friend
-----------------------------------------------------------

I screamed at you,
yelled at you...
never wanted to belong to you

Mean, Bad, Uncaring I screamed
failing to see your love so esteemed
I fought with you, I called you names
putting our friendship in flames.

I ran from you whenever I wanted,
never once did I realize how much I was wanted.
You let me live on my own terms,
never once did you question me on my
stupid choices,

I felt I was never loved.
Now I realize, how true you were,
I learnt my mistakes the way they were.

I called you when I was down,
I bugged you when I was high,
never realized how close you were to me,
all the while calling you a person so cold,
never once did I realize your love I could hold.

Could a sorry set things right?
Or should I shed tears?
I throw away all of my fears,
if you would never leave me sight.

Smile Smile, just give it a trial...
Now can we forget this for a while?
A r'ship so sweet, which calls for a treat
something that was envied by all so neat.

I'm not alone, that I know for sure,
coz I have someone who is really so pure.
Thank you isn’t enough, to show my gratitude,
one thing I can change for you is my attitude.

I hope the Gods will bless,
this r'ship that was so full of stress,
let no evil eye befall on us,
let no one come between the both of us.

For all I know, My promise is this
While I end this pledge with a sweet kiss,
"I shall never leave your side and
this is the assurance I will provide. "
