So deep in me,
Corroding my soul,
Destroying everything that used to be.

I didn’t realise it was there.
If I did then I just ignored it.
Loneliness is something I can’t bare,
It’s more painful than being hit.

So I carry on.
Suffered at night,
When everyone was gone,
That’s when my mind and emotion would fight.

I’d cry long and hard,
Desperate thoughts would fill my head,
Felt like I was barred,
And freedom I would not find.

Let it all out they say,
To make you feel better,
To see a new day,
To read a positive letter.

Believe me I tried,
But the pain can’t be stopped.
Way too much I have cried,
My sanity I have dropped.

Still no one may know,
Until one day you lose it,
You’re on your lowest low,
And you have an anxiety fit.

I'm in the same boat as hazelnut. I'll be on the lookout for the followup to this one, which is actually already very good.
