It's been a long road these weary feet have travelled
And I've seen the bittersweet light
Many mysteries of the heart I've unravelled
And I've bathed in divine moonlight
Now I know some people will never believe
And some people will never be
All they make themselves out to be
Some people will give and never receive
And some people will crucify
Everything someone else lives by
It's been hell trying to find somewhere I belong
I've been forsaken every time
Looking back, I can remember when I felt strong
But that was once upon a time
Now I know some people will always walk away
And some people will lose their hearts
Whether or not that love departs
Some people will give it all in a day
And some people will stick around
Until true love is what's been found
So no matter who never believes in me
And who never lives up to what they could be
Someone will give me what I need
And someone will help me succeed
So no matter who won't be there tomorrow
And who feels they can't fufill their status quo
Someone knows they could never leave
And someone is my future's eve
I will be all the faith you need
Promise not to make your heart bleed
Be all the things you saw in me
Help you get where you wanna be
Never become your yesterday
Or do less than I can today
Without you I'd wither and die
I'll always be right by your side
