as i wonder and reminisce
thoughts and feelings flow into an endless abyss
determining why i even bothered to write any of this
it hurts just to close my eyes
all i see is your face, and your smile
a broken dream, shattered like glass
this is my 2nd bottle now, how many does it take to forget the past
so gone now, but everything seems so clear, how can this be reality
love, pain, and anguish all eating away at my mortality

the first day, i saw your face
the first day i looked into your eyes
i wanted to live my life and make it better
every moment to the fullest
every moment with you in it
no regrets

a little over a year later

i stand alone
as i wonder and reminisce

determining why i even bothered to write any of this
it hurts just to close my eyes
