It's a beautiful summer day,
from my lawn chair I can see.
the beauty of God's creation,
staring back at me.
The greenness of the leaves,
providing shade from the sun.
The sing of the birds,
offering enjoyment to everyone.
The aroma of the flowers,
so mild but yet so sweet.
Or the fullness of the grass,
that grows beneath my feet.
The splendor of the butterfly,
as it flies from here to there.
So gracefully flapping it's wings,
without a worry or a care.
It's amazing from this chair,
how well that I can see.
The reasons for daily living,
God so freely gives to me.
May I never take them for granted,
or fail to appreciate their charms.
Cause winters quickly approaching,
and soon there'll all be gone.

It's nice to see that someone knows where our beauty comes from. Keep writing poems like these. We all need them.
