This is my story. [bodytext] => I lay on the ground
You have beaten me down
For buying you the wrong colored shoes
One size too small

Sleep covers me like a blanket
Exhaustion wears me like a new outfit
I let my body ache and moan
For I am too tired to ease its cries

I close my eyes warily
Sick of seeing my battered face
The light I see before my eyes
Gives a grim hope for a new day.

I reject the temptation to give in
I slowly sit up against the wall
I keep my eyes closed
Just let my soul rest for a few hours. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 155 [topic] => 8 [informant] => Lady_bubbles420 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AmericanTragedy )

This poem is a cry one must heed
It is heard by all who can read,
It appears to us all
Get out of this pall
That's what it is that you need...

Hey guys! This is the author. This poem is about a relationship I USED to be in, but I'm not with him now. Sorry for the mixup! Hallie
