Array ( [sid] => 19098 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Changing [time] => 2003-06-16 02:35:00 [hometext] => This is a poem that I wrote for my English class. It is one of my favorites and I hope that you enjoy! [bodytext] => He came closer,
Arms drawing me towards him,
Mouth opening invitingly.
Smiling at me,
Pointed teeth glistening
In the moonlight.
His cold raven eyes are now warm.

His lips brush against my neck.
His teeth caressing,
Sliding into my bared neck
So gentle,
The sting sharp
But wonderful,
Ending swiftly

The new, alien cold of my hands
Spreading further inward
Towards my heart,
My blood turns to ice.

I am no longer here
But am floating above the earth,
Away from my discarded body.
Free from the trappings of flesh,
Content with my newfound being,
One with the heavens.

A slight tug at my ankle
Pulls me down
To my body
long forgotten.

Gradually, I feel his arms
Cradling,
Soothing as the ocean,
Cold as the autumn air around us.

The wet feel of the leaves
Where my feet lay,
Cold as his;
The feet of the Undead
The crisp breeze refreshes me.

My eyes lose their heaviness,
Open gently,
Elegantly.
The world comes into focus.

I look up at him,
So beautiful;
So serene;
So perfect,
Smiling.

I am reborn.
