my mind is locked in a cell.

Emotions are all locked up
kept hidden so the world can not know.

They can not know what I feel
nor can they know what I wish.

They can not know why I cry
and they can`t feel what I feel.

One day I will be realeased
somebody will have the key
that will set my heart and mind free.

I think I found that person
but they went away.

so now I am a prisoner

Oh my gosh this is so much like me, it's eerie. I used to feel that the real me was locked up inside my head, and that I wasn't really me, and that in order to become myself again, I had to find the key, someone that would set me free and allow me to be me. Well, I found him, and he wasn't who I thought he would be. But I'm happy to say I no longer feel like I'm a prisoner in my own head, and I hope you find the same freedom I have. Good luck, and excellent poem.

~ Moonlit
