this is very thought provoking...once whilst in NY there was a dead homeless man that we were pushed right over...the people flow was so dense & quick....there was nothing to do but keep moving! this makes me remember that poor man and so many like him...I now help whenever & where ever Im able:)

Very powerful, princess... So many are forgotten, so many go hungry. I have been homeless most my life, through out my childhood I had to wake up for school with no place to brush my teeth. The teasing was unbearable, yet I found that my heart was taught things that very few get to experiance. Now I choose homelessness, a vagabond, floating from place to place. Working with food not bombs, or doing work at a homeless shelter, or whatever I can find. It is a peaceful existance, an one I chose for myself. I experianced the fast paced life of management, and was quite good at what I did, but found no peace in waking up everyday to wasteful, greedy, selfish people. Although we can't change everyone for the better, everything we do, everyday counts. So please... atlest lend someone a smile when you see them on the street. For most, that is all they are looking for. Bless you. - jason
P.s. try to get a Food Not Bombs up and running in your area, that is if there isn't one there already. Or if there is, donate some time, it will give you a sense of joy that is rarely experianced by those on the street.
